3 Yard Quilt #2, Stepping Stones

Next up in the three yard quilt-i-verse is the pattern Stepping Stones.

This fabric three -some was my original pick from stash, a purple stonehenge, a wild Japanese print that I had not been able to do anything with, and a coordinating Dimples in a buttery yellow.

And then, and THEN, I picked up this delicious metallic green grunge for my stash. A green which beautifully echoed the green and the metallic gold in the print. So much for stash! (Yes, I ordered more immediately).

So sparkly, those light areas are metallic gold!
Once again, I have switched the light and dark in making up this pattern. You simply canNOT go wrong with pairing green and purple. Any green and any purple; they will be happy together.
The main block goes together super quickly.
I made sure that all the cranes in this print are flying the same direction! Blocks are all 8″ finished.
And here she is, 46″ x 62″
And I found time to make a nice carrot cake! Yum!

Happy quilting!
